"I KNEW THE 9-to-5 WASN’T MY STORY—SO I WROTE MY OWN"

Now on an endless gap year, exploring Europe and it’s Golf courses with my family while based on the stunning French Riviera.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Natalija, an Australian travel content creator, experienced UX copywriter, blog growth strategist, and e-commerce business owner.

I'm currently living the "endless gap year" adventure with my three children. After years of exploring some of the world’s most stunning destinations, our family left Australia for Europe in 2023. What started with a travel blog, endless golf course visits, and a wild idea: what if the “gap year” never had to end? With that in mind, we’ve settled on the French Riviera so our daughter Kasija (15) can pursue golf at a full-time academy in Cannes, France.

FREELANCING MEETS LIVED EXPERIENCES

As a creative with a love for storytelling, I thought it was the perfect time to relaunch my blog and, as they say, put pen to paper—or in this day and age, fingers to keyboard. So here we go! From family-friendly golf resorts and opulent hotels to uncovering a destination's hidden gems, capturing genuine moments and sharing relatable experiences that inspire other families to explore and book their next adventure is what I’m all about.

As a family who understands the magic (and the mayhem) of traveling with kids and golf gear in tow. Our adventures have taken us across Europe and beyond, with recent stays in stunning destinations including:

  • The worlds oldest golf courses in Edinburgh, Scotland

  • The colorful islands of Murano & Burano, Italy

  • Family retreats like Grand Hyatt Bali and Dolenjske Toplice, Slovenia

  • A splash-filled getaway at Aquaworld Resort, Budapest

  • Culture-rich journeys through Belgrade, Serbia

We've had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of boutique hotels and renowned brands. Wherever we go, we look for properties that welcome families and celebrate golf.

WHAT DRIVES ME

After years of industry experience and expertise in travel, marketing, and a new found love of golf, I decided to design a life that aligned with my purpose. Being a hands-on mum and giving my kids the adventurous childhood my vibrant, loving late mum Vera gave me and my brother Zarko is at the heart of it all.

After a painfully tough and transformative 2022, I realized it's time to live life by my bucket list—not by anyone else's expectations. Whether it's living in Cannes learning French, working remotely, or ticking off destinations, I’m embracing every opportunity to live authentically. Filling my babies’ Australian passports with stamps along the way has definitely helped me check off a lot of boxes from this list! I genuinely hope to inspire more families to see that this lifestyle, and even a gap year, is more within reach than they might think.
